RESEARCH SERVICES

Do you want to know more about your family history but don’t know where to begin?

Are you looking for biological family?

Depending on your individual circumstances, the answers you seek may be relatively easy or very complex. I can help you determine what to do to answer your questions and achieve your research goals.

What do you want to discover?

DISCOVERIES

One of the gifts of family research is the discovery of unique and often long-lost historical records that bring our families to life. Genealogists collect names and dates, but learning about our family means seeing a signature on a will or finding a photo of a great-grandmother and understanding our ancestors in the context of history's time and place.

It's these discoveries that then help us understand the joys and struggles of our ancestors that all make us who we are.

PROFESSIONAL GENEALOGIST

I am a member of The Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), a not-for-profit 501(c)(6) professional organization dedicated to the growth and enhancement of the genealogical profession. Founded in 1979, APG is the world’s largest association for professional genealogists, representing nearly 3,000 members in forty countries around the world.

APG Code of Ethics

APG provides education, advocacy, best practices and a professional community to members to secure records access and to help advance their careers and the genealogical profession as a whole. APG also seeks to protect the interests of clients engaging the services of a professional genealogist and the public perception of the field of genealogy.

ABOUT ME

A passionate genealogist for more than 35 years, I have extensively researched my German, Irish, Scottish and English ancestors in the U.S. and western Europe—from the 1500s through the 20th Century. In Colonial America, my research has uncovered Mayflower Pilgrims, Puritans and Revolutionary War Patriots. In Pennsylvania, Quakers and Civil War soldiers. And generations of Farmers from across Germany who migrated to Pennsylvania and Iowa.

I am a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, numerous genealogical societies and more than 35 lineage societies. Since 2007, I have been the Historian for the Nebraska Society of Mayflower Descendants, completing more than 250 new member and supplemental ancestor applications.

FAMILY HISTORY TRIVIA

The Mayflower Society estimates there are 35 million living descendants of the Mayflower's 102 passengers?

Are you one of them?

In all of us there is a hunger, marrow deep, to know our heritage - to know who we are and where we came from. Without this enriching knowledge, there is a hollow yearning. No matter what our attainments in life, there is still a vacuum, an emptiness, and the most disquieting loneliness." —
